Psychotic blenny murdered goby, need sand sifter.

Alright, here's the situation - my girlfriend's Snowflake blenny she put in my tank has been attacking my orange diamond sleeper goby on Christmas eve, as evident by the missing flesh and tooth marks on the goby (it wasn't Camille.) The blenny was 'detained for questioning' as i explained to my girlfriend, (placed in a breeder trap inside the tank) which my gf didn't like, so she set him free back in the tank. Christmas morning I was greeted by a homicide; the suspect, after being released by my girlfriend, carried out his plan and murdered his victim. Now, I understand that blennies are territorial and will go after another blenny, or a fish that resembles their shape; blennies attacking gobies and jawfish isn't unheard of.

The problem is, I need a sand sifter! This blenny isn't a very good fish, he doesn't even eat any algae; all he does is steal Camille's food and take naps on the live rock. But when I told my girlfriend that he might have to go, she got all upset, started crying and everything; she 'loves her baby.' I know that some shrimp and crustaceans can sift sand fairly well but I'm afraid that Camille might pick one to death. So, I need a sifter that neither a toby or a blenny can maul to death. Any ideas?

Aren't cucumbers known for poisoning tanks? Or am I thinking about something else...

There is a type of cuke called the Sea Apple. Although even when mine died, it did nothing. They do a great job of cleaning the sand bed, without disturbing it or eating the creatures that live in it.
