Merry Christmas to everyone!
I'm at my parent's, after some stressfull days in the beginning of the week.
Before the 10 hours of driving to get to my parent's, I had 24 tanks to do water changes in, and that's a bit too much job before leaving for a 10 hour's drive. We'll, we got here in one piece, both me and my dog, and there's nowhere we rather would be at Christmas. It wouldn't be Christmas if we stayed anywhere else.
In Norway we open the presents at Christmas Eve, so we are actually done with all for this year now (it's past midnight now). We've eaten more food than any of us have room for in our bellies. Even Kaisa got very nice Christmas food. She got some turkey as dinner from my dad (I tried to steal most of it, and eat it myself - but we are having turkey for dinner tomorrow, so I really can't complain). From me she got leftovers from dinner. We have a traditional pork ribs (I have no idea what it's really called in English, but it IS pork, and from its ribs - and it's a traditional Christmas dinner in Norway). I think Kaisa is pretty full now.
She also got som dog candy as presents from a friend and some relatives, and she had spread some it out in the sofa! You have to watch carefully if you are going to sit down there now.
My youngest brother sent me a card along with the presents, and the card almost made me cry. It was so sweet what he wrote.
Once again I experienced that the presents I had bought for both of my brother's children, actually were popular.
Every year I feel that the presents I buy is so typically bought by a boring aunt, that they will be bored to death by it. But they seem to like auntly presents.
Believe it or not: the children love getting clothes! What childrens love clothes for Christmas???
But it's a relief for an aunt who hates to go shopping, and don't want to be the boring aunt who doesn't understand... I love my brother's children though.
Both of my brother's children. But why can't they stop growing up so fast?

Re: Merry Christmas everyone!
haha ... 6:00 am here and I have to start prepping while everyone is sleeping. The wife just went to bed. So hopefully I can sneak the stuff into the house and have it ready for when they wake up. Then crash for a bit and start on diner. Tonight it will be roast duck, mashed potatoes and some mixed grilled veggies... ohhh and LOTS of gravy
