Porcupine puffer?

It's a heavy bioload to be sure. I had built a turf-algae filter and was running that for a while, but that was causing algae blooms, which have never been a problem before. So I scrapped it.
My nitrates are not a problem as long as I water change every 3-4 weeks. I run DSB's in both top and bottom tanks & refugium.
The Taro's & Kenya's love it, and I keep quite a few invertibrates with no ill effect (except when they fight each other).
I will point out that the eel, triggers and puff are not full grown yet.
Lol, and I have 6 other aquariums, so I can relocate them as needed.
Also, the Scopas & Foxface Lo survived a tank that had hit 96 degree's.....my old apartment, the AC broke when I was out of town, came back and it was like a jacuzzi in there. Bulletproof fish!

Snowflake eel's dont generally eat fish, but I certainly wouldnt trust one with a blenny or firefish etc.

Oya, I guess I failed to mention a major factor.
The turnover rate in the tank is massive, I have 4 x 900 gph powerheads (seio's) + the return pump/overflow.
I've also maguivered a few things like the skimmer etc to work a lot more efficiently, and I built a small wave machine for the bottom tank.

I agree that once the puffer gets to be an "Adult" he needs a bigger home.
Which gives me a good argument to get another tank.

It doesn't necessarily mean I made up my mind. The actual tank will be coming in a year away after I figure out acrylic glass hybrids. So any suggestions as to owning some form of puffer/burrfish with spikes with care advice is recommended. The tank however, cannot exceed 100 gallons. Anyone ever kept diodon eydouxii?

Not overstocking is even harder to lean than not overfeeding. I am still working on both of those myself.

Does anyone else have anything to add about marine puffers with spikes in captivity? Or any other suggestions?
