Just come across this ol' pic on me computer of lilly burying herself ! ...........haha she'd need a few more inches of sand to hide her fat belly these days !!!

its silver (silica) sand , very fine passes through a net ...........think now she's growing I might change the substrate as the sand looks nice when clean , but the way she tears her food up it doesn't stay that way for long !, so may opt for some type of gravel ...decisions decisions ! lol
