New Puffer aka.Blanket

Post by PuffieUno »

Okay guys so my tank finally cycled out. I was in walmart last night and decided i was going to save Blanket the GSP. The people at walmart wouldnt let me take him out of the tank and proceeded to try and stress him out by chasing him all over the tank so i told them nevermind and waited 20 minutes or so and found a manager. After talking to the manager and letting him know the special needs of the GSP and their water conditions he let me take him out myself. Once i got him home he was very timid until i started drip acclimating him to a salinity of 1.013. Once the drip started his color came back and became very lively. Once i got him in the tank i gave him a couple of very small snails to munch on it took him a while to figure out they were in there. But he has ate a few of them and is very happy and active. So I am proud to say after he was still alive this morning that I saved a GSP from Walmart. Also here are some picutres of him I wish i had more but he wont sit still long enough for me to take the pictures.

Wow he wouldnt eat freeze dried blood worms but still loving those snails. I went and got him some more along with some frozen blood worms and guess what he ate the frozen ones like they were going out of style. His belly is so fat right now lol .. This little guy is full of energy and is already starting to follow me around the tank.. Here are some more pictures he is just too cute. :D

Ok now Blanket is truly lucky because his tank will be unbelievably clean in no time. I went to the pet store a while ago and bought a fluval 305 canister filter thats made for a 70 gallon tank. Its so funny watching him swim in the current of the outlet from the filter.
