second try

Post by wagner7123 »

I asked this yesterday but for some reason I'm being told I need to put in a password to view that post; I have a new 36" tank but my stand is only 32" inches, can I use it? Can I use the tank if I mod the stand? suggestions? comments? concerns? Thanks

Go to a hardware store, and get a really thick piece of wood or wood composite, but not pressed wood, and have it cut to the size of the tank. Center it over the stand and you should be good to go.

You'll want all edges of the tank supported so wood sheets are in order. 2x8's in my country aren't sheets of wood. I think you may have misunderstood SYN.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Yes, one solid sheet, or several to cover the entire bottom, all four corners.

2 2x8's side by side held together between 1/2" ply; sturdy and unified. Then I remove the stand's original top and replace it with the new slab of wood.
