Yeah I did think that they were asking for a ridic amount, but, since you were looking for the "orange" look, I thought to link them =) I was looking for bettas when I was reading your post, and looked at their Cories just in case. Glad I did now =D

Sterbais like warmer temperatures. How warm is a goldfish tank? Don't all cories need a sand substrate (I feel like you have gravel in your GF tank)?

Those laser spesies are gorgeous. I have green laser myself. They spawned for the first time last week, and the fry hatched on Sunday. Right now I have 21 very small green laser fry. But I really would like to have orange stripe laser, orange laser and red laser as well.

Yes, they do. I never sell cories to people who can't give them sand substrate.

Neat! I've got sterbais (as they were in with discus) and they reached a point a few weeks ago where they keep spawning. Unfortunately there's a pleco in the tank... I had two fry from eggs I peeled off the glass and put them back in the tank but I haven't seen them since. I hope I get babies from them one day.

congrats!!! at the big als near me they have 3 or 4 dif kinds of cory cats. they also have about literally 20 different plecos. some upwards of a hundred dollars. its a privately owned big als and they guy who owns it does all the ordering, its not just on the list of "send this to each big als" so they get in a lot of very unique things.

What are the best Corys to use with goldfish and puffers? I have always kept the Emerald or Peppered Corys with no problems but I wanted to explore other possibilities. And has anyone had a problem with them being eaten because of their size?

I would definitely not keep anything together with puffers, and that means cories too. Cories does not seem to learn from their mistakes, so they wouldn't be smart enough to stay away from a puffer, even if the puffer has nipped its fins several times. So no cories with puffers!
I have no experience with goldfish - all I know is that they like cold water, so you need a cory species that also like low temperatures. That excludes c. sterbai and c-121 among others, as they like warm water (they are one of the few cories you can keep with discus). Brochis multiradiatus is a cold water cory, but is very, very sensitive to the water quality (more than puffers), so they are hard to keep. They also need plenty of room.

Some of those needs a pretty low PH though (i.e. c. duplicareus).
Corydoras trilineatus is a nice cory. Easy to keep and easy to get. Look for cories sold as c. julii - they are always c. trilineatus. Actually I've never seen a real c. julii in any shop, they've always been c. trilineatus. The difference between them is that c. julii have perfectly round spots, where c. trilineatus often have a more brain like pattern. But trilineatus can have more round spots as well. If it's a julii, it have to be wild caught. There are no juliis bred in captivity.

But whatever cory you choose: they need to be kept on sand. Gravel excludes keeping cories.
