gsp with live rock

Post by Mzkrista »

Hi
I have been wanting live rock in my 55 gal with my GSP's and finally have my 2 GSP at full marine 1.020 so bought some live rock, cured it and placed in my my tank. Question is now my GSP's are eating the live rock! Since I'm new to live rock can you explain to me if it ok for them to do this and is it good for them? Also are they going to eat all the live bateria on it and will it stay alive? Hope this doesnt sound stupid. Thanks for the advise.

they are just nibbling at the snacks and critters on the live rock. Not actually eating the "bacteria".

Not a bad thing at all, will help keep their teeth trimmed
