The T. mbu is native to the Congo river and to Lake Tanganyika. Very few hobby tanks are sufficiently large to house these fish with ay tankmates at all. They may allow other fish to survive for extended periods, but they may be killed and eaten at any time.

Cyphotilapia frontosa:

And Altolamprologus calvus black:

Both are native tangananyka fish, big and smart enough to live a lot of years with a MBU, but two things are sure:

1.- They are expensive fish, and they need to live on groups so thats a lot of money :onfire:
2.- i agree with RTR, An adult MBU will decide, some day that needs some fish-meal for diner, and there will be fish to eat :(

i dont recoment to have MBU with another animal, well, maybe some crabs for lunch
Let there be light, and lit up the days... Let there be puffers, and they swam around the world...

The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best. Use the talents you possess.
