CUC vanished
I was noticing that my sand was looking a little grubby and then realised that all my CUC have gone!!!!!
.....Red leg Hermits, snails, a Blood Red shrimp and a cleaner shrimp. The only two additions to the tank lately have been a Koran Angels (which I doubt ate them) and a Toby Puffer. The Puffer is about 3" long....could this little chap have munched all this CUC???? I just noticed him picking at my Pin cushion urchin

Re: CUC vanished
lol, definitely the puffer. I'm surprised any of your CUC lasted this long.

Or they know there is a predator and are in hiding. Try looking in to the tank an hour or two after lights out. But probably the puffer
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I have some lions and a few zebras in my backyard. When I came home today, the zebras were gone and the was grass all bloody.
What could have happened to them??

Re: CUC vanished
I kept about 50 blue leg hermits with my GSP when I had my last tank set up. They'd pick them off and when the numbers got low I'd just buy more since they're pretty cheap and easy to replace. I had some ghost shrimp in there too and they survived for months before being picked off (I was surprised they could live in SW for so long).
If you want a CUC I'd go with the cheapest critters you can find and just anticipate them being eaten eventually.
