Post by xvCODY »

I want a planted Betta tank soooo bad. This is the most gorgeous fish i think i've ever seen besides a Mandarin fish.

Awww!! Makes me want one even more now. I've been nervously contemplating a betta since my little Freddy died....I just didn't want to go thru another dropsy experience = /

Aww, sorry 'bout that. There are so super nice bettas on Aquabid. The Half-moon Dragons have to look the best, imo.

Ack!! Don't tease me =( It would require me to get another fish tank, and I think Denzil (BF) would kill me LoL. I'm in an apartment and trying to keep it under 10! Lmao. I love love love love love love love!!! the way the dragons look!!! I saw one at my LFS for the first time for $21.99 and he was such a big, beautiful handsome fella that I almost broke down and got him. Good thing Denzil was with me LoL.

I would love another betta, but again, the dropsy scares me. I don't know how prevalent it is in bettas or all fish, but I had to euthanize Freddy because he pineconed and didn't want to see him suffer. Luau and PZ are wonderful, but I miss my little murderous booger haha.

How do you use the site to search? Every time I select one of their categories, it comes up with a box asking for more search criteria...

It's cool. I kinda did, but I thought the search feature was really confusing LoL. After seeing some of the bettas on there, I really want a betta tank now = /

I would be willing to bet that your dropsy experience was just a odd thing. Bettas are generally pretty hardy and don't get sick too easy. Just think about all the people who keep them in 1 gallon (or less) bowls with nothing and how long they can survive there.

I say you should setup a 10 gallon tank, decorate it the way you want it and go for it! =]

LoL I have a bf to go thru first or there wouldn't be any question about it lmao. I already have 4 tanks set up...he might just kill me if I ask for a 5th. But again, here is where the Amazon wishlist comes into play lmao. He either has three very expensive things to buy me (engagement ring, protein skimmer, lights for 60g) or he can buy me all the little stuff for the betta tank muahahahahaha. We will see which way he decides to go ;) I will keep you all updated haha.
