tank mates?

Post by lpn4 »

I currently have female green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon heavily planted tank. I have had other fish in this tank before, 2 golden long-finned danios, and the puffers left them alone. In fact, the danios pecked at my puffers, which is why they are no longer in that tank. I was wondering what other people's thoughts were about tank mates? I also have seen my GSP go after other fish, but become disinterested quickly if the "prey" is too fast for them. Ideas?

my first idea is get a bigger tank. 10g just will not do for a GSP. as far as tank mates, if your gsp accepts them, a tomato clown or sometimes a damsel. (thats once they hit SW) im sure PP, Syn or somebody can and will take over and fill you in on your puffer, and link you to a page where you can read about their needs. You are "slightly" off with the small amount of info given.

The plants says its in freshwater. it is not a freshwater fish.
10g tank is far faaaar to little.

Before spending any money on other fish you should consider giving your GSP his necessities.

They are not female, they are stunted.

One GSP should be alone in at least 30 gallons of BW to SW. Larger would be better.
