Re: Annabelle's new home
The tank she is in now has sand. Her new tank has aquatic soil and pebbles. She has never eaten the live plants. She has swam through them and uprooted them before but not on purpose. Every puffer is different, you just have to experiment and see what they will allow.

Bloat doesnt mess with his plants, except to uproot them once in a while.
I prefer sand in Bloats tank since he still likes to bury

You always had an eye for tanks! That looks wonderful and so does Annebelle, she's really got good color and her body pattern is gorgeous! I need to have you come aquascape some tanks for me.

Re: Annabelle's new home
Looks like my post was lost after yesterday's freak accident so I'll try this one more time.
Pictures of my "Sump Bucket"
Here's the roller's that I'm using in the bucket:

Next I have a picture of the drip tray. I was going to use the egg crate but it kept flipping over and wouldn't stay in place. I took a lid from another bucket trimmed around the edges and drilled holes all over to create a drip tray. It sits right on top of the rollers.

Here's a photo of my filter poly, I lay it right on top of the drip tray. My poly is extremely dirty now but I'm not changing it until my tank is cycled.

Finally the lid, I drilled 2 large holes into the top of the lid so that I can stick my hoses in. You can also see my hose with my pipe in it. I have the end clamped so there are no accidents.

I was going to use the elbow pipes as seen in the above photos but the splash sound was driving me crazy. I stead I cut some pvc pipe about 8" long connected it to the hose, clamped it and stuck it in the hole. No more splash sounds. Look at the top, close to the holes I drilled. I cut some of the trim off and I'll explain why. This is a screw on lid, when I placed the bucket in the sump I couldn't get the lid to screw on due to space. Even with the part that I trimmed off the lid still screws on and stays in place. It's also works well for a peak inside. Now I can grab a flash light look through the edge and see how dirty my poly is without pulling my hoses out.

Here's the photo with both hoses in place:

Thanks and you can steal it. I stole it from someone else.
I couldn't find those curlers at the dollar store. I ended up having to go to "Sally's" which is a place where they sell supplies to the beauty shops. Not sure if they have one in your area but I think I paid around $10 for a couple of packs of curlers.

Re: Annabelle's new home
Ordered my new stand today for my old tank.
Well actually I told him not to order it until next week, that gives me two more weeks to finish cycling Annabelle's new home. I also asked if I would be charged storage fees if I wasn't ready to pick it up by then.

Wow! How big in the old tank? That is 67 fish if I counted right. BTW, I'm jealous of the Annabelle's new home...lol! I hope I can get Ares new tank looking half as good!

Re: Annabelle's new home
The tank is 125g. I'm scratching the Macropodus opercularis Paradise fish. I just found out they will eat smaller fish. So now I'm down to 58 fish. Still doing some homework. Most of the fish I picked out only grow to 2" and only require 10g.
