My Fahaka Puffed up!
I did not have a chance to take a picture. Today I got to see my Fahaka puff up for the first time ever. It looked like she was just practicing but I thought it was kind of awesome. So I had to share.

Re: My Fahaka Puffed up!
Fahaka must look impressive all puffed up. I saw my GSP puff up again for practice, but I always notice it too late for a picture
. It looks downright ridiculous though.

Congrads! I yet to see my fahaka (Stripes) puff up yet. I had stars and stripes, porcupine's, and GSP's puff up in the past but never seen my fahaka do it though.

In 4 years I've only seen my puff once. I was thinking about setting up a spy cam to catch her in the act.

Re: My Fahaka Puffed up!
I noticed that most of my marine puffers puffer up more then any of my brackish or freshwater puffers did. Strange huh...lol. Btw, edmlfc1 that stars and stripes avatar is awesome. Reminds me of my stars and stripes I onced owned. He was one of the ones that puffed up every once in awhile for no reason at all...lol Beautiful puffers and one of my all time favs.

Re: My Fahaka Puffed up!
the larger of my 2 puffers sometimes goes to the center of my tank and puffs up about half full i would say quite vigorously.. his belly goes in and out really fast, than he bloats right up and just sits there for a minute looking around, than unpuffs, and swims around like nothing happened.... i dont think its due to stress, ive seen him do it maybe twice or 3 times. but my pc sits directly beside my tank so i get any action right in my peripherals.

Re: My Fahaka Puffed up!
That was my Elvis. We lost him on 9/11. That picture was published in a puffer book by a member of the forum. It was one of my favorite pics of him. He would puff up quite often. I think he liked to stretch in the morning when he woke up.FADE2BLACK_1973 wrote:I noticed that most of my marine puffers puffer up more then any of my brackish or freshwater puffers did. That's awesome that he was published in a puffer book. Which book was it? If you don't mind me asking.edmlfc1 wrote:That was my Elvis. We lost him on 9/11. Re: My Fahaka Puffed up!
It was a Marine Puffer book in Germany written by Corvus (member on the puffer forum). I received a copy of it from Corvus but I can't read it.
I just love the fact that my Elvis is in a book. I call it my "brag book". lol
