Re: 20G SW FINALLY
Oh, buy a timer silly. You have coral, they need specific light schedules. 10-12 hours I believe.
I 'm surprised you have HA, I'd think the crabs would eat it.
But it's something new aquariums just go through.Keeping phosphates and nitrates down will help, but it is normally something that is waited out. I think that is one of the reasons it's suggested to wait 6 months before adding coral/anemones.

Re: 20G SW FINALLY
My nitrates are around 10, dont have a phosphate test yet.
I need to add some more crabs. I dont think 6 is enough
Im crossing my fingers, I saw a free 55g with 40lbs of dead LR on craigslist

Had my first murder.
Woke up this am to bits of electric blue crab all over the tank. I think he tried to change shells and was to slow.

Re: 20G SW FINALLY
Just talked to a buddy that has an extra 55 that he will sell me for 40 bucks, no stand though.
What is the basic needs for a tank that size. Do I have to have a skimmer and sump or can I get away with LR and water movement for awhile?

Re: 20G SW FINALLY
Alright im sure Ill catch some crap from this but last weekish I got me the one fish I wanted before I got Bacon, a Tail Spot Blenny. Ive waited a week or so to post up here to make sure he was going to fit in well. Bacon has completely ignored him, and he has TONS of hiding places in the Fiji LR. When I first got him he was hiding out in my big glass shell but he has since found that the LR has better hiding places.
And enough blabbing here are some pics of him.

Beautiful tank and puffer, Xray! Bacon seems to be a very happy puffer. Do you have plans to upgrade down the line/switch tanks?

Re: 20G SW FINALLY
well I hope my CC is up to the task. Bacon decided to drop and ignore her piece of clam and before I could get to it a ghost shrimp grabbed it and ran away with it. Hope the CC eats it all
