Annabelle's favorite food

Post by edmlfc1 »

I think I just discovered Annabelle's favorite food. Everything I give her she just picks at it until it's all gone. The last two feedings I gave her some scallops that I had in the freezer to try. She loves it. :D She eat's scallops like Elvis eat's mussel. Even the little bits that get away she goes after them. There is absolutely nothing to pull out of the tank when I feed her a scallop. I think she would actually kill herself overeating if I gave her too many. Has anyone else ever tried scallops?

I'll have to get some more. :D I didn't know it was going to be such a big hit. If she ever stops eating again I'll know how to get her started. Just feed her a scallop. :D

I thought scallops would be a real treat too, then I went out and bought some. My GSP pecked at the piece I put in there and the Brown totally ignored it. I have a Lb of scallops in my freezer now...but not for long, I love scallops!

My valentini puffer loves them. Shelby not so much. The feeder crabs enjoy them though.

My local grocery store only carries some processed clams, scallops, mussels, prawns etc. nothing of the shell left :(. Been meaning to check out a larger one when I go to the LFS again for more microcrabs and pond snails.

I gave my stars and stripes Octopus once, it was the funnies thing you've ever seen. I dropped it in the tank, he went for it, took a bite and then it happened. The octopus tentacle came up and over his face, right between his eyes. He "FREAKED" and I do mean "FREAKED" , then he went in the corner and wouldn't come out. After I finally stopped laughing I took the tentacle out and threw it away. I never tried octopus again. lol
