Drip Acclimation

ok last question, I have the puffer, and it is currently being acclimated as we speak. I have the drip set to 1 drop for every 18 or so seconds. Everywhere I read says to drip about 1-2 drops per second for a 4-6 hour drip acclimation, but that seems pretty fast. Should I widen up the drip acclimation, and have it drip every second, or just keep it the way it is? I'm in no rush to get the puffer in the tank, but I am a little concerned about ammonia toxicity starting to rise in the bucket.

1 drip every 2 or so seconds will be fine

Thanks for that, I'll lower it down to 1 drip every 2 or 3 seconds, still doing good!

Well the siphon died on me for 2 or so hours, so I'm still acclimating. It's up to 1.08, so I I still have a while to go, sped up the drip rate

Siphon died? What do you mean?

I mean I left the airline tube with a gangvalve dripping for about 2 hours or so in a large bucket, and when I came back it was no longer dripping. Still going, should be close to 1.025 in a few hours

Be sure you are heating & airating the bucket the fish is in for that long.

fantastic suggestions, and he is in the tank!!!!
Coloration was a little faded, but I'm hoping that he'll get his full colors back soon, and I'll be checking in on him tomorrow morning with some bloodworms and baby ramshorn snails. Was very inquisitive, and active when I finally got him in the tank, so I hope that's a good sign. Will post pictures tomorrow if my camera manages to work properly
Oh did I mention he looks so tiny in that tank, it's hilarious. Cannot wait to see him zooming around the tank

ok, forgot the camera, but he's still doing well. Coloration still a little faded, and I couldn't get him to eat, but hopefully tomorrow he'll be interested in some snails/bloodworms.
