We have a few members who either currently have, or have kept Mbu puffers, somebody with experience should chime in shortly.
I've read that their conditions in the wild are a GH between 5°-10° and a KH between 0°-8°.
It would be super if you could refrain from typing in all caps, it's kind of hard to follow and on the internet it's considered shouting.

All capital letters is considered shouting and a waste of space.
T. mbu is fairly widespread in Central and East Africa, It can handle tropical large river system water with its wide annual variation in dissolved material between flood and dry seasons, and blind lake conditions with higher mineralization (Lake Tanganyika). The basic water conditions for the fish are therefore not particularly critical, except that the KH is likely best above a minimum of at least KH 4 degrees or higher to support good nitrification of these extremely high bioload fish.
High water quality (low nitrate, zero ammonia and nitrite, stable GH and KH) is more important than exact mineral content, but there should always be a comfortable margin of safety with the KH.
