this is sad. :( damn coldhearted people

Post by hadla »

what pisses me off the most (besides no one helping her) is that another vehicle ran over her instead of going around her. i hope the parents blame themselves for not keeping an eye on their daughter.

Flutter pulled out the video link as we do have children on this site and this is not something that we want to provide them with. Video is of a child getting hit by a car.

Not that it justifies it , But I herd in China there are no good samaritan laws . So people trying to help others have been sued or fined for there good deeds! Makes people scared to help.

I work in an ER

Chuck in the stories(i glanced it over) it said something about people not stopping for just that reason. That someone a while back did stop for someone and ended up getting sued and had to pay that persons medical bills

I don't blame you Chuck. I couldn't watch more than 15-20 seconds of it and that was more than enough for me. I seriously hope China reconsiders their lack of a good Sam law. That little girl should have been helped.

How can life be treated as if its nothing? That was a child! This saddens me greatly and makes me sick. WTF i would not care of repercussions if i saved a child, or any human

Believe it or not, most of us have it in us to do exactly that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bystander_effect

Yueyue's case is one of the examples.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Found among the papers of Mohatma Gandhi
