Epsom salt will it kill my live plants
Re: mbu and plants and being wierd and not eating
No, it shouldn't hurt them.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Did you try cutting them up? Epsom salt isn't really like salt, it's a muscle relaxer and constipation helper. If he is constipated he may be uncomfortable. Do a water test again today and post the results, as well.

He is pretty big for that size of a tank. Does he have enough room to turn around adequately?

Okay, well I guess just treat with the Epsom salt, and keep trying different foods. Try snails, earthworms, rollie pollie (potato) bugs, any freshwater muscles or shrimp (uncooked and unseasoned). Hopefully he will decide to eat.

Is normal behaviour returning?
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
