Nice suggestion, I may just have to do that sometime lol...It's usually not a problem, I'm a college student and my roommate is usually around to check the colors.
I also had one more question (maybe get RTR's opinion also?) about whether or not keeping a low number of bumblebee gobies in the same tank is allowable? I understand they could get killed randomly or the puffer could leave them alone for a long period. Is there any evidence of them causing extra stress on the F8?

RTR is a strong advocate of species only tanks for puffers. But besides that, IMO, you don't really have a large enough tank to consider more fish. Not to say that a 20 long isn't a fine home for a figure 8, but not really much wiggle room for adding additional fish/bioload, even little bumble bee gobies.

That's kind of what I expected. I will probably just do a species only tank then.

You cannot rely on color tests in computer screen reproductions.

Ya you are correct RTR. Luckily I have a photo editing panel that is well calibrated frequently, but I have seen some crazy differences on lower quality lcds. It's too unpredictable

Re: Verify F8 Setup
I meant to photograph the vial next to the corresponding chart, not just the vial and then try to compare the photo online to a hard copy of the chart. That wouldn't work well at all.
