Removed the first empty shell of the coral banded shrimp after a molting. He didnt seen interested in eating it and neither did the peppermint shrimp.

I noticed that my puffer prefers artemia brine shrimp over blood worms. Or atleast he seems happier. I just toss the contents of the cube into the current and let it spread over the tank. It gives him something to hunt. It's also a lot of fun watching the shrimp chase after the brine shrimp for a meal. It's the same for bloodworms but half of them always decide to float on the water :/.

Water changes! I emptied the water out of the 10 gallon (~8 gallons worth) and took water out of the 20 and put it in the 10 for the water change. I read online that this is supposed to help the nitrites lower and help the tank cycle faster. I hope so because I am ready for my long awaited F8 and cannot get him until PZ's tank quits cycling. Darnit. I should have waited longer to change filters. Oh well, lesson learned. Also added some water into the snail tank since that thing seems to evaporate faster than the others....Also cleaning up and getting my living room reorganized to bring the 65 gallon home ^.^ yay!!
5.5g: Pond snails
5.5g: Red Cherry Shrimp and Rams
10g: PZ the Pee Wee (DP), Ghost shrimp, Otos x3
36g: Luau the F8, Zebra nerites x8, sometimes a herd of ghost shrimp for food
60g: Perches the starry blenny, 1 watchman goby Snaps the l.c. hermit, 2 emerald crabs, 1 red crab, 2 turbos, 7 asteas, 2 nerites, 2 clown gobies and 2 firefish gobies (upgrading to a 90 gallon reef)

It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I set up a 45 gallon FOWLR today from leftover live rock Balki was afraid of, and some other leftover pieces and rubble. The Aquaclear 70 malfunctioned after running for an hour, so I had to buy another one. The water was too milky to see before lights out, but it looks clear now under the moonlight.

W/C on Buttons tank, also rearranged the decor and added more substrate (gravel) in preparation for a shipment of 6-7 new plants for his tank. Also added root tabs under some of the plants and watched Button exploring everything that had been moved.

Driving home today to catch up on everything. So perhaps 2 x 50% on all tanks after feeding. Gravel vacs, glass cleaning inside and out. Lid cleaning to follow. So much to do after a six hour drive back from Devon

Emptied and cleaned out my 2.5gallon tank, some MTS might still be in gravel but thats whatever. Bought a heater and thermometer for the fluval edge. Bought plants for the 2.5 gallon and picked up another 20 or so pond snails putting the total at 30 to start the 2.5gallon off as a pond snail breeder. Hoping to start with red cherry shrimp in the Fluval next week.
