Water Change.
Does anyones puffer get stressed out when you do water changes?
Fahakas are like dogs! They come up to you and say hi! Or they're just looking for food!

Bacon stresses out if anything goes into his tank

Re: Water Change.
My F8s hate water changes. They try to jump out! I have to leave the versa-top on the tank until the water level is low enough that I know they can't make the leap to freedom.

Re: Water Change.
My fahaka just goes into his corner until I'm done. Doesn't stress him out at all.
I have another tank with some tiger barbs... They love water changes. They always swim into the current of new water that I'm dumping in.

Re: Water Change.
Weird....Mine freaks out a lot! He will be all happy swimming around and stuff and as soon as I start sucking water out he freaks and starts breathing heavy and stays in his little bridge! He could also be stressed because I moved his tank from one wall to the other wall so he is facing West instead of east now...

My fahaka generally goes on the attack and acts really pissed. On the occasions he doesnt he just sits and watches me
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Re: Water Change.
My fahaka just lays there. I literally have to use the siphon to move him out of the way if there is something underneath him, and even then he only moves a few inchs and lays back down lol

Re: Water Change.
I do little water changes every other day or so during the week (like, 10%), and Lola (F8) acts really interested, swims around, plays in the water I'm pouring back in, etc.
Then on the weekend I do a 40-50% water change and she gets pissed. Turns black and sulks in a corner or under her tree. Haha.

Re: Water Change.
PZ hates when I do them. She hides in the fake plants and if she has to move, she darts into another hiding spot. After I fill the water up, she won't come out until I bring her a little blood worm. After she gets her worm, she forgives me LoL

Re: Water Change.
My Fahaka gets stressed. Gets his angry unibrow going...he pretty much stays in one spot though. I have to fight all the others to keep them from the siphon tube...P-Nut attacks it.
