Something that is air tight and used to store dog food.

We have one for the beagle's food, one for the pup's food and one tiny one for their treats so we don't get ants.

I didn't know what they were, but my first thought was if they could support a fish tank's weight.

LOL Seven!

Nope, couldn't support the weight of a fish tank, and Xray, sadly, our apartment doesn't have a closet to put them in. BUT!

I have an idea. I need a bigger desk, BUT if I move the mini desk by my computer desk and store all my school stuff on the NEW desk, I could get rid of the mini desk and move the vittles vaults there--out of the way but still easily accessible to get dog's food twice a day.

So I ran this by him and asked him what he thought. He said as long as I don't bitch about the maintenance, I COULD DO IT! (LoL I think the maintenance is one of the best parts about having a fish tank personally: quality time with mah fish, hehe). So, now I need to start planning. First thing on the list of things to do is to check what the apartment complex says about the number/size of the fish tanks...don't want to push my luck LOL. The people who work at the office probably wouldn't care, but the complex is owned by Essex Corporation and I really like where we live, so I don't want to get kicked out.

Guess I need to start a new thread...LOL ^.^

Denzil (the BF) is really good though. He's pretty relaxed about what I want to do and I am the same with him. So as long as he doesn't mind, I am going to start looking for a 40 gallon bow on Craigslist. If not, I will just save up and buy a new set. Provided our apartment complex is ok with tanks...any advice Xray, since you just went through setting up a marine for a GSP?

Also, what size does the GSP have to be before going full marine? (Or is there even a limit?)

Use aragonite for substrate and make sure your LR is fully cured. Id get 2 or more powerheads for water movement, that way incase one breaks you have others in the tank and you can more fine tune the flow.

As for size of the GSP, Bacon is about 1.5in's or so and he transferred to marine with no problems. Took about 9 hours to slowly drip him over

Any advice on acrylic versus glass? I was looking at some tanks online and I wasn't sure if there was a better way to go-- they advertise acrylic as better, but you know, they have a good marketing team. I am going between a 36-40 right now. Have to do some measurements hehe
