Hello,
Does anyone have a fluval profile 1500 aquarium? They look lovely, but wanted to know if they are good quality and worth the money really?
I love the black and silver design as it would look beautiful in my front room, but my fish have to live in it and I have to maintain it so thought I would get first hand advice..before deciding to purchase
Kind regards emma

It looks like a really nice freshwater tank, but since this is posted in the marine forum, the tanks filtration is not designed to be a reef or FOWLR.

Hi,
Yes I have one! As a fowler setup intially but I added some corals as well....
It is truely a beautiful tank! Very difficult to find Nowadays as Seapets and Maidenhead Aquatics were the only outlets selling the largest size. I loved it because to but the same size with a modern design would cost £4000+, this tank gave me the modern look at £1500. I believe fluval are not know for the electrical equipment being great but this tank is to die for, it just ticks all the boxes for me. Modern, contempory and sexy all rolled into one......
I agree the filtration is not for a Marine setup, so I got rid of the 2x305 fluval externa filters and replaced them with 2 X (yes two) Ehiem Professional 3 2080 External Filters and works a treat! We knew the fish we wanted and needed to ensure we had adequate filtration (maybe too much people would say) but we have perfect water conditions, never had a fish cross the rainbow.
Its a lovely deep tank which I feel give you that deep sea feel as you have more scope to arrange the landscape the way you want.
I am looking at selling my setup as I have decided to breed Shar Pei's, another love of mine and I dont feel I will have the time to love and cherish my fish the way I do now. So we have decided to close down. If anyone is interested, I am based in sussex (united kingdom). See my link for contact details:
I could post some pictures if you like!
Heres is a link to where I am advertising it - feel free to take alook!

Just curious if you would sell the eheims seperately?
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
