My little huntress!

Post by ILoveLola »

After a month of playing with her food, I finally came home to see Lola with a giant round belly--signs she had finally eaten one of her ghost shrimp I bought for her. I'm so proud of her! *wipes tears*

Haha, I'm also hoping that this maybe means she has more energy/is feeling better after treating her for IPs for almost 2 wks.

i know the picture sucks, it was with my cell, but check out that belly! so much better than the 'pinched' look she's had.

It's really not, aha. She's so rotten. She will sit still for the longest, and i swear as I am clicking the button she swims off. But I was so proud of her belly. :P

It feels good when you see a happy puff

Now just keep your fingers crossed that she still has a little belly tomorrow am, which would be a great sign that you have beaten the IPs

Well, I went back to treating her food again tonight, since when I woke up this morning she had a sunken belly once again. Boo. :( I'm hoping it's just taking time to gain the weight back, and that she doesnt have IPs anymore. I don't think it's as bad as it used to be.

Round poop like circular bunnie poop? Or round poop as in not stringy? I did a water change last night and noticed (for the first time, maybe i've just been unobservant) a lot of pinkish poops. Is that good or bad? Or is it just poop? They were shaped like dog turds. Hahaha.

color and shape depend on what kind of food. size depends on how much of that food. to me it sounds normal!

Dog turd looking poop is healthy normal poop, it will be whatever color their food is.
No stringy yellowish mucus like turds

Awwww, that is totally a ghost shrimp belly in that pic! Sorry her tummy was concave by morning, though -- best of luck with the IP treatment.

If her poopies are normal, then she probably just needs time to gain weight.
