Children make me smile...

Post by ILoveLola »

Just a fun little story.
I'm a preschool teacher, I share twenty-one 2-3 yr old boys & girls with another teacher.
In our "science center," we have laminated pictures of ocean plants & animals. Because I know more than the other teacher about sea life/aquaria (not that I know too much, haha), the kids always come to me and ask me what the pictures are of. One of our pictures is of a porcupine puffer! (I think of chuck & petey every time).
the kids now all know that that's "miss erin's favorite fishy!" and "pufferrrrrrrr!"
many of them have now decided puffers are their favorite fish, too! (in second place comes 'nemo-fish')

:) silly story about my awesome kidlets.

Nah, not like a full report. I remember in preschool we had to do have our parents do the research, and send us with an index card of a few facts on an animal that our teacher helped us share. I had zebras. Good times.

That would be fun! I don't know if the teacher I work with would let me do ALL puffers, she would probably heavily encourage sea life in general, haha, but you know I could throw some in! I'll probably bring it up Monday. :D Let you know how that goes.

Hahaha, & what kind of puffer did he think was a shark?? That's super cute/funny.

My little girl is 3 and a half and we were asked to bring in pictues of pets, so i sent a phhoto of my fahaka. Lol i remember looking at the board with countless pictures of cats, dogs and goldfish in bowls. Right there at the top was my photo of puffer givin it jazz fins lol. So funny listening to other parents guessing at what sea creature it was and then having to explain blah blah blah.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
