Most cory cats live into the mid-to-upper teens. Some make into their 20s. In any BW they are short-lived. Exactly the opposite case from F-8s and GSPs.
I have seen Oscars in 10 gallon tanks also. That does not mean they belong there or are "fine"
there. They are not.
Re: PP's tanks. Yes, she does a great job with artificial decor to suit her wet pets. But you should also take a look at her reef to see how she does with live decor - that is really mind-boggling! That is no instant set-up. That is years of outstanding care from a keen and careful eye.. It is humbling.
