Converting to brackish tomorrow

Post by xvCODY »

I'm pretty stoked. My LFS has pretty high prices on their mixed SW but it's made with RO water and mixed a few days ahead of time.

Do you plan on just adding SW to to the tank to make it brackish?

I've already done the math and determined the amount of pure SW to raise my SG by .002 every time. It's something like 8ml of 1 gallon of salt water is 1.002sg so 16ml (whatever the exact measurement is) to raise the SG with a 50% WC

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

So far sitting at 1.004. Gonna do another WC Sunday and raise the SG again. Smudge is doing quite well, so are my BBGs. Their colors are great and they're really active. Everything is going great!

Hmm, i replied to this a couple of days ago but i guess i forgot to hit "Submit" haha. I've had a bit of a nasty cold the past few days so i've been lacking on this weeks WC. I did one today though and i'll snap some pictures of Smudge tomorrow and have them uploaded in the afternoon. I'll make sure to feed him first so he's extra vibrant. =D
