Acclimating to SW

Alright so it looks like its a go that im going to get fish4fun's GSP. He is going to go into my 20g SW tank that I just set up, I know not ideal for long term but it is only till I can get the 75 at my GF's set up. My question is whats the best/fasted way to get him acclimated to SW. Right now fish said he/she(not sure lol) puts 1tbs of marine salt in a 3g tank, not sure what SG that comes out to be, Im thinking the best way is to just do a very slow drip over a few hours. That sound about right? Or is there a better way?

That's what I did, just make sure temp stays consistent and all the other capt obvious stuff

From what Ive been seeing , I thought the GSP had to have there sg raised over several weeks ?

you can do it in a few hours or less.

Only the bacteria takes time to adjust. You have to remember that a GSP, in the wild can go from SW to FW and back reasonably quickly (but not hours).

I drip acclimated mine from FW to SW in about 8 hours. He did fine. Still doing fine!

I went from mid brackish to marine in 2-3 hours. I may have done it too quickly, but neither puffer showed signs of stress.

I suggest considering this puffer to be a female, and naming her something ethnic, like Shakeitha or Laquandra.

Sure you can, it's just Keith with "shuh at the beginning and uh at the end. Lakwandruh is an alternative spelling for that other one. But it's easy to make your own, just take a name, or just a word, put "La" or "Sha" before it, and "a" or "ia" at the end, unless it already ends with "a".

Examples: Steve - Lastevea, pronounced Lah steve eeyuh
Kidney - Shakidneya
Chris - Lachrisa, or Lachrisia
Bacon - Labaconia, pronounced Lah bake cone ee uh
