Thank you!

I'm so pleased with him :) just hope he does well. He hasn't been glass dancing as much this morning, so hopefully he's slowly settling in.

He's all of about 3" long atm, anyone want to hazard a guess how old that might make him? I've no idea how quick these guys grow. I'm going to try to get a vid of him having dinner this eve! Gonna give him another mussel to rip to shreds!! lol

Mine was a voracious eater. What-sized tank are you planning for him?

ty :D

Does anyone know if the air driven internal protein skimmers are any good?

I'm thinking I'll put one of those alongside the filters initially if they are.

That's the one:

No worries, it's a type of skimmer.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Good news! The glass dancing has finally stopped! I think I can stop panicking that he's not going to make it past a week with me, because he has! I've had him 1 week and 1 day :D
Been keeping an eye on him all morning today, and he seems good, so providing there's no change later, I'm going to do his first salty water change tonight (eep!)

Skimmer arrived from ebay too, although I don't think it's as good as I thought it was. When I was reading the ad, it really came across as a hang-on-the-back one, but when it turned up, it's an internal one, which I'm not too happy about. But I've got it now, and fitted it, so we'll see how it does. Not that it's going to be much use in freshwater, but you know how it goes, new gadget! So have to play with it! lol

Congrats on getting past that first stressful week! I went through a similar process with most of my puffers, especially if it was my first time owning that breed. It sounds like you are going to take really good care of him.
