Monotrete, Tetraodon suvattii Difference?
Just wondering what is the difference between the monotrete suvattii and the tetraodon suvattii? Or is it the same fish different names?

I believe it's the same just labelled incorrectly.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

It's the same. Here at TPF I think we call it a monotrete, other places uses tetraodon. I am still not sure which one is actually the correct one, but I think maybe tetraodon is an older name. Most monotretes was called tetraodon earlier. I can remember when we changed that in the Puffer Pedia some years ago. Before that, it was only the turgidus that was called monotrete. In a Norwegian forum I frequent, they still have kept those names.

Tetraodon is a very old genus name, and was assigned far too broadly for many years. We can expect many more puffers to be given newer and hopefully better names as the taxonomist get around to it.
