Sports and Work!

Post by fahucker »

Completely off topic! But does anyone play any sports?! Or any sports you people love?! And what does everyone do for a living?!

I play rugby, fish, hunt, powerlift, and also bow fish for fun!

I also am a mechanic and going to UTI to become a professional diesel technician and then pursue my engineering degree and hopefully work for Ford SVT division and create the first diesel power performance truck!

I fly remotely piloted aircraft for the Air Force, and run and lift so I can always perform well on my PFA. If using a 13 gallon trash can to do water changes on my tanks counts as a sport, or weightlifting for that matter, then I do that too lol. I'll have to do some research into bowfishing as I'm not familiar with it.
It's a crayfish! It's a snail! It's a... ah who cares?
Nom nom nom!...

Tank: 4 liter custom-shaped sphere
Contents: 1 Brainfish
Ph: 7.4
Ammonia, nitrites, nitrates: ?
Problem: Cloudy/muddy water
Can you help me?

That is pretty sweet man! I have a buddy who wants to be a smoke jumper for the marines! Along with a bunch of friends that are in the marines! But bow fishing is when you shoot a fish using a bow and arrow. Usually its a barbed arrow with a string attached to it. It is a difficult sport but such a rush! Try it out sometime!
Also! Water changes are quite the workout! lmao

I used to play baseball and ran cross country in high school. I want to join a softball league or something to get back into it, it was quite enjoyable to me. I also tinker as a hobby, mainly attempt to modify things with LEDs and I fix xboxs and ipods for friends. I'm going to school for Electronics Engineering Technology, so its the hands on side of engineering and not the drawing pictures all day part, which explains how I know how to mod things and fix crap. I work for Pepsi Beverages Company, which is the beverages side of Pepsi Co. I've been a part time merchandiser with them for almost 5 years now, which is what drove me to start back at school since I could no longer wait for a full time job with them, they tossed me around too much... I kinda hate it lol. Anyway I stock the Pepsi, mountain dew, mug root beer, and what have you in the beverage aisles at walmarts krogers and other grocery stores, and just to clarify I drive my own vehicle, I don't drive a delivery truck like everyone assumes.... I didn't mean to go on forever, my bad.

Well thats awesome! These days you can't make your way using your hands yah know?! Its all about knowing how to use OS's and stuff like that. If you don't have a piece of paper saying you learned how to do something it isn't worth crap!
But that has to be a cool field to go into! See I can tear a motor apart but you say xbox or ps3 I am dumber than a box of rocks! lol I have never been a big fan of computer games and stuff since I did grow up on a farm! But once I moved to the big city I did get into WoW for awhile and that was pointless looking back. But seems like your life is quite interesting!
One thing I have noticed is that like me just graduating high school you say "back in high school" and you feel cool and you say it when you're 25 and you feel so old lol!

Yeah I graduated in 06, I'll be 24 in a little under a month from now. September 22, mark your calendars peeps. I feel old, I was at the county fair on Friday, riding rides and I faced my first battle with motion sickness, i never have gotten it before, everyone told me I was just getting old lol. And today my joints have ached all day long, but that could be from all the drinking and rough housing I did last night. Some how we made a game out of stacking cement block shards.

That is craziness man. I live in a suburban area near dayton now, where I grew up was rural, Our nearest neighbor was a mile away, so me and my buddies did a lot of messing around in the woods, barns, creek, all that kind of crap. I always was interested in electronics, but I'm not a huge gamer anymore, now instead of gaming I stare at my fish tanks... lol

This could be fun.

I play: Hockey, football (touch), basketball and softball (played hardball as a teen).

I also lift weights 5-6 times a week. I love it.

Hobbies.... FISH, of course. I have 9 tanks running at the moment. I also love to golf... I guess that's a sport ;-)

Work: Currently, I'm a Program Officer for the Government of Canada. I've also worked for the CRA (IRS here in Canada) and for Passport Canada, as a Passport Officer.

Oh... I'm 28, male, 6'2" - 205lbs....

I was born without any literacy skills and am useless with computers lmao. So i lift boxes for a living, i dont go to the gym cos i lift loads at work (upto 100kg) out of work its mainly familytime and aquarium maintenance lol. I like to occasionally go for a drink or many with pals etc etc. However working 2 jobs and with my current commitments i have little time to do any other activities.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
