Puffer eats Nori ( seaweed )??

Post by mommy4 »

Does anyone have a Puffer that eats Nori? I put some on the clip today and he went for it and swallowed the whole thing. Thus leaving the other fish in the tank not too happy. I was not aware they ate seaweed.

The marine puffers tend to be algae/seaweed (macroalgae) eaters more than their FW counterparts. They likely should be offered such regularly.

So good to hear that they eat the dry seaweed. I just feel terrible because he does dot leave any for the other fish in the tank. Any suggestions?
