HI GUYS, ABOUT TO GO AND GET ON A NEW VENTURE i WOULD LIKE TO GET A FIGURE EIGHT, I DO NEED SOME INFO LIKE WHAT LIVE PLANTS ARE GOOD FOR THEM SO THAT i CAN GET THEM ORDERED, ALSO WHAT TYPE OF BOTTOM OR SUBSTRATE, AND THERE SEEMS TO BE ALOT OF CONTROVERSY REGARDING SALT OR NO SALT CAN ANYONE CLAIRIFY, i AM ALSO UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT 80 DEGREES IS IDEAL FOR THE FRESH WATER CRITTER, CAN YOU PLEASE ASSIST ME AND GET ME GOING. ALSO IT WILL BE A 30 GALLON TANK. i ALSO HEARD TO PUT CRITTERS IN THERE TO KEEP THE BOTTOM AND SAND CLEAN CAN YOU EXPAND ON THAT I REALLY APPRECIATE IT, ALSO SOME NAMES YOU GUYS THINK ARE CLEVER. Start by reading the article on these brackish water puffers, in our library. 15g minimum for 1, 10g for each additional puffer. Crushed coral or aragonite substrate. Marine salt & a hydrometer will also be needed. A goal of 1.005 SG is recommended, but you should start by raising the SG from freshwater (1.000, which most are kept at in the shop), to 1.001/week.
