Biting?
Biting?
Hey Guys, another quick question , I went to feed Percy yesterday I was about to drop a snail into his tank - he has never hand fed before - and he swam over to my hand really excited and accidentally bit my thumb - Im sure he was aiming for the snail lol but now Im nervous to try to hand feed him again in case he bites me and it hurts... Im assuming if he properly got me it would hurt because he has a beak?

Re: Biting?
This is why it is recommended not to hand-feed a puffer.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Biting?
If you hand feed you will get bit once in a while, they just go together
Re: Biting?
Haha ok I just wont do it then! I wasn't actually trying to hand feed him, he's just really fast and a total pig I'll just have to try and feed him on the sly!

Re: Biting?
LOL I know how that is. I enjoy hand feeding despite the danger xD If you want to try again you could use krill since they are so long, it's harder for the fishy to getcha.

I got bite my Fahaka when he was really small and it hurt a little, i couldnt imagine getting bite now. He'd probably take my whole dang finger lol.

Re: Biting?
Pig Pig would bite me, he was maybe an inch, and he still bit the walrus out of me. I couldn't do any maintenance without him going well out of his way to bite me. He would threateningly lunge toward anyone even just passing the tank. He was a walrus fish. He's the LFS's walrus fish now.

Re: Biting?
when i put my hands in the tank now my wife holds a net inbetween, it stops him biting the walrus out of me. When i get bitten i get pissed off and shout at what bit me like that helps

Re: Biting?
Well hes about 14" now and hates me when i put my hands in. I have to make sure the telly is off tho or she gets distracted which ends in me getting attacked lol. I have suggested me holding the net but thats a no no lol
