Help Identifying fish

So I went to Jack's to buy some plants for my DP tank (petsmart is working on their tanks I usually get plants there)
Anywho I saw these things I thought might be bumblebee gobies, The dude that worked there had no clue, and their "fish expert" had no idea
So I felt like a jackass when I said I think they are bumblebee gobies and they both agreed...

Anyway are these bumblebee gobies? Was I actually right for once?

After looking at pictures and searching furiously I still have not figured out what they are but I'm almost positive they are not bumblebee gobies.
They were kept at 1.004 SG and 2 of them were very white when I first got them and when I put them in my tank the dark bands turned black like the others were, The way they scoot around and sit on things makes me think they are gobies, but The way their mouths appear it makes me think they may not be. I'm very confused with this, I may have purchased something that isn't compatible by mistake, but I definitely like them and may have to set up a new tank for them. I'll have to wait for RTR to wake up because I'm sure he knows exactly what they are.

Clown Loach possibly but doesnt really look to much like it in the face...almost looks like a chinese algae eater morph or something

but gopies mouth positioning is way different...and they are yellow and black.... thats my best guess

Now that you mention it, it does look like a loach of some sort. I'll do some investigating. It would have helped if the employees knew what they were so I don't have to try to figure it out.

Definitely a goby of some sort, probably very closely related to the BBG.

I think they're catfish.

They do look a bit like bumblebee catfish but I don't see any barbs on their face.

I'd also have guessed baby Bumblebee catfish. I think on the left one you can see barbs.But I don't know the exact species.

On the other hand I only see one dorsal fin...

Maybe baby south american bumblebee catfish?

As both bumblebee gobies as well as the various species of bumblebee catfish have 2 dorsal fins this is likely something else...

Yeah, I noticed the dorsal fin difference too.
Seriously cute little fish though.
Do they have any whiskers?

Maybe look around at river loaches (http://www.fishbase.de/identification/s ... s=&c_code=) and loaches (http://www.fishbase.de/identification/s ... s=&c_code=)... or maybe still something else.

They just don't seem to have that sharp of a nose...

if its a loach i will laugh so hard...i am telling you it has to be a loach of some sort. I looked in petsmart and petco online and nothing showed up like it

Sorry, I cannot help. I've seen and kept a lot of fish, but I am poor these day with pictures on-line unless very high definition due my visual problems - and those eat too much space on forums.

But that does not look like a loach to me. or a goby for that matter. It could be a catfish, but the pictures don't have enough detail to see it. They are cool looking critters though.
