Changing to new filter
I was wondering what the recommendations for changing to a new filter I currently have a fluval C2 on my ten gallon and I'm not a big fan so I got an aqua clear 50 in a trade and am going to put that on my ten gallon and then I will be putting a couple dwarf puffers in the tank. The tank has been established for sometime so I was wondering if i can just swap the filters or if there is a better way to do it without screwing up my cycled tank.

You could take the media out of the fluval C2 and put it in the aqua clear 50

Makes sense, I guess the only thing I realy need to keep would be the ceramic pieces because I'm assuming thats where most bacteria is.
