Hi again!
It's been a while since i last logged in and i kind of miss this forum
Well i've been moving to a new apartment this summer and it came with some problems... My Fahaka (Belseblobb) is soo angry and won't eat at all =( .
I have read in the forum that they can be cranky but i never seen him that kind of angry before, either he is laying on the bottom sulking or he's swimming around and throwing me some hateful gaze, and he don't want anything to eat for 3days now

Yea he just looks pissed. Mine does this if I move anything . A few days without food will be fine. IMHO I think he maybe a little overweight, have you been giving in to the= please just a little more I am still hungry, look how nicely I swim kinda look lol. Lovely fahaka you got there
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
I would wait for him to beg. Or show his food pot (if u have one) and see from there. I won't put food in if he doesn't rush to me when I show his food pot

Hmm you may be right on that point... terrible easy to give into that little happy monster apetite , Since he is about half year old and still in his growing period i havent given him a starving day yet, but maybe it's time to draw back a little on his meals, giving him smaller portions one or two days of the week otherwise i apply him for biggestlooser puffedition if that dont do the trick

Every other day feeding is fine for these guys. Mine was real fat at about nine months old but dropped feeding to every other day and now I think mine is in good shape. Sometimes he goes 3 days without food, he let's me know when he is hungry. I show his food pot every day, if he goes nuts he gets food, if he doesn't then I don't bother. If he looks like he just wants extra. I also dont bother lol

mine went on a hunger strike after i used the wrong milk jug to top off his tank(one i used had old milk). So I just stopped offering food for about 5-6 days. When I finally did offer him food he ate it right up and has been doing much better now

I agree with this method 100%. My Fahaka is fed 1-2 times a week. He'll get a few rams or red wigglers (small worms) in between feedings. This is often to show people (friends) when they ask "can you feed him", as they always seem to do .

I bought at the Lfs in Mars and there he was about 1½ inch so i recon he is about 8-9months old now.
Shall take your much needed feeding advice into action as soon he eat's again.
I have noticed he's taking on a dark green and sand color since yesterday and he look kind of sad =( .
