this is the best one from the side to determine what this fish is....

My vote goes for A. reticularis (sorry for the spelling error above, "reticulatus").
A guy I know likes them a lot (he has a about 800 and a about 2.500 gallon tank).
He imports A. hispidus and A. reticularis, both often come as S&S.

Yes a picture from the side shows the odd share circular pattern towards the back and the lines towards the front they have. A. reticulatus also grow bigger than the SnS, they get huge.

I think they get about the same size. I'd even have claimed that the A. hispidus can get a tad (one or two inches) larger.

Yeah .... whatever this fish may be.... he or she is a beast... ive had it for about a month now and its doubled in size....and since i have 6 puffers one eel and a horse shoe crab in this tank.. anyone know of a great protein skimmmer.? the one i have is not keeping up with these crap monsters....and its rated for 200 gallons....i have to empty to the cup everyday.... un real.... but still love these guys...

As a rule of thumb, whatever the skimmer says its rated upto divide that in 2. So your 200 Gallon skimmer is really only rated for a 100 Gallon tank. The skimmer I have is rated upto 1000 L but I am using it on a 450 L tank.

When it comes to skimmers its all about money how much are you willing to spend, what you need is a Good Deltec Skimmer or a Bubble Magus:

Here are some good Deltecs I would say you need a Deltec SC2060 rated upto 370 Gallons heavy stocking:

all rated for your size tank and heavy stocking, Deltec and BM are by far the best Skimmer makers and you need something like this. If I had to choose though I would go for the Bubble Magus its a cone skimmer and still very powerful.

If not these then you need something similar

Poor horseshoe crab is doomed to starve to death.
They only eat creatures out of the sand bed & require about 20'x20' of sand for that.

Interesting.....I've watched him eat.mysis shrimp..and whatever other food that ends up on the

sand..comes out late at night and.swims about....well...that sucks if true

does anyone ever bother the eel? id love to be able to keep a porcupine puffer and a snowflake eel together if its possible whenever i can get a big enough tank for the puffer

The pics are bigger in my gallerey....acutally the pork and the.eel.have some.weird bond..they hang out....no issues...

as to all of y0u that claimed that i was destined for failure.... well i challenge that once again....all my fish have tripled in size... no issue/ to anyone wanting to add every species of puffer to one giant tank do it... surlaW doesnt happen.. pics coming soon
