I think it's unethical to keep fish knowingly in too small a tank to satisfy some curiosity. Your findings will hardly do anyone any good, as it is already well known that 8 green spotted puffers in a 20 gallon tank is an overstocked tank and improper care/housing. You will not cure a disease, you will not revolutionize puffer care, you will not discover anything beneficial, you will simply knowingly be carrying out irresponsible care.

It is also unethical, and in my locality illegal, to catch local wildlife, keep it as a pet, the release it back into the wild. They become accustomed to not having predators and not having to hunt for food and have a severe disadvantage returning to wild conditions.

Puffers are especially intelligent and personable animals, the people on this site love their puffers as members of the family. Your "experiment" is not science, it's just abuse. And you posted such nonsense on here is just trolling.

i m terribly sorry for this. I read the minimum space requirement stated in this forum's library, but i dont understand why it is. and i didn't catch my puffers from wild natural enviroment, i just bought them from the stores here where is a much more worse situation for the GSPs。Now to give a better life for them, the only way so far i can do is to send them back the local BW area near sea, i can not return them to those local stores, where they will de dead for sure. The fish stores here all treat GSPs as a lowly species.，that's really bad.

That is a tough one husonli. I don't know the chances of these guys surviving in the wild after being in captivity for over 7 months. On the other hand being in that small of tank they don't have much of a chance either. Do you have online sites over there where you can advertise to give one at a time away to people who can properly care for them?
