4 gallon fish tank for 1 green spotted or figure 8 puffer
4 gallon fish tank for 1 green spotted or figure 8 puffer
I just set up a 4 gallon fishtank, and i wanted to turn it into a brackish tank and put either 1 figure 8 or one green spotted puffer in there. Is that enough room?
Sorry but Figure 8s need a minimum of 15 gallons each and then an extra 10 gallons for every extra you add. Green Spotted Puffers (GSPs) need a minimum of 30 gallons each and as adults require full saltwater.
You might be able to get a Dwarf Puffer but I wouldn't recommend it since they need 5 gallons. Dwarf Puffers stay freshwater so they would be easier to keep.

Why dont you check out http://www.pufferlist.com to see the minimum requirements for loads of puffers. I wouldnt think about putting any puffer in that size tank. It would make an alright snail breeder tank though if you got a larger tank for a puffer.

Done on all my tanks weekly (except the reef). You could put a single DP in there, but you would have to keep up on your water changes, 50% every week.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
