I WISH it was 50 or 60. Bleh. With the tank and that, it leaves me with a an amazing... 15 dollars. If there is ANYTHING good, and very cheap. please tell me. anybody.

Your going to be spending a good amount on live rock, do you have any reef clubs in your area, alot of times members are selling cheaper. Good for picking up equipment cheaper too. Craigslist or kijji you could also try.

Im trying, the tank im buying is craigslist. Im asking people for the skimmers, and LR.. havent gotten responses.. Hopefully I am getting the tank tomorrow...
There really arent any reef clubs in my area. Ill put pics up when i get my tank.

With you limited funding you might have to wait awhile to set the tank up right. You really are going to need 60 lbs of liverock. The cheapest in my area of Ontario Canada from a LFS is about 5.50 lb. That works out to about 320.00 just for the live rock. Find a reef club and you may get it for as cheap as $2.00 lb.

Sorry but these are one of the crappiest skimmer on the market.

Didn't read the skimmer reviews on that page. I myself have no experience with the red sea prizm but I do remember PufferPunk saying many times that they are useless ( I trust her judgement).

Yes, I'm definitely right about that skimmer! Someone gave me one for free. I do use it as a backup if the other ones crap out (see my other post). I definitely wouldn't count on one long-term. Save up your $$$ for a better skimmer. It's gonna take time to cure that rock anyway.

Can't i just buy my rock cured? Also how do I cure it? PP, I am sure you know a place to get nice, cheap skimmers.

Try the Used Equipment forum at Reef Central. Do a search for "curing LR".
