Puffer ID
One of the LFS, has a puffer listed as a juvenile Figure 8 puffer, and they told me they ordered the puffer from AquariumFish.net for a customer that then didn't take it home. I have posted pics of both the figure 8 that I am certain is a fig 8, and the one listed as a Fig 8. I think the second one is actually a SAP, but I'd like clarification on that. Thanks.

Not sure about the first one, except that it is definitely NOT an F8. Second is an F8 with wide stripes.
I do know that many LFS mislabel Ceylons as F8s.

Yes, #1 is a Ceylon, 2 is a F8.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Okay. Well, they had number one listed at F8 spotted, and number 2 listed at F8.

I also agree with this. Take a look at the color patterns of identified specimens(as I did when I just first got into puffers) and you can clearly see how the first pic has the F8ish back and the rest of it looks GSPish, classic Ceylon.
