What they are asking is that you have permission to send mail to this user. AKA the safe list. I have never seen a safe list generated by a 2nd party before. It is usually done my the recipient themselves.

Every time I post anything worth >$500 on there, I get scam letters offering me more than I'm asking, if I'm willing to ship out to their grandmother as a gift for his girlfriend, because he's overseas on a trip somewhere...

lol PP thats all the emails i get for my fish tank/supplies and extras. i always flag them. or my most recent favorite is "this is CEO of craigslist, you have been selected for a free ipad2, click here(<--- hyperlinked)" its sad how dumb people think other people are, but then again its sad how dumb people actually are and would click them like "OH NO WAY I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED ONE. OMGGGGG!!!!". like a friend of mine (computer savvy, so this shocked me he was this naive) clicked on and signed up for one of those google work from home pop up screens... dummy... got like $100 taken from his bank account with no work from home kit as promised
You wouldn't believe some of the email scams I've gotten simply for being a combat veteran. It's quite sickening, really.
I decided to sell my beloved '94 Mustang Cobra a couple years ago on Craigslist for 5,000 dollars. I had one guy email me and ask me if he could make payments on it. I told him, sure - you can make one payment of 5,000 dollars. Never heard from him again.

I'd say "Sure! 2 payments of $5000, or three, whichever you choose. Order in the next 5 minutes and I'll throw in a free book lamp!"
