custom tank stand....

Post by duked »

hey guys i just purchased a 125 for my fahaka cuda the stand the tank came with is all cement blocks just thrown together... i didnt mind it but the wife thought it was ugly so its gotta go but i am going to build my own stand so i can get what i want out of it. i would like it if you guys could give me some good ideas and maybe direct me towards some good blueprints for a 125 gallon stand. thanks all! :)

I liked the stand you had. It was blocks? Looked cool in the photos
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

there are lots of plans floating around out there on the net but the basic design is the same.

I got my plans from reef central, but at the moment I can't call up the thread :(

You can elaborate on the stand you have!
You can paint the blocks with a latex based paint any color she likes, might help it look less blocky. If you get a sheet of wood, or make a solid wood base, and you can make doors for it. Another sheet in between will make a shelf. So on...
I really like the cinder block stands for their strength, water resistance, and versatility.
