When kept singly they spend more time looking at u and begging for food following finger etc . As pairs / groups they like eachothers company and less time for you ( as a general rule) you can put 2 and a bbg in there without too much trouble IMO , however I would start with the puffers and see how you feel later on you can always add if u like. A lot of people here like understocked tanks to give fish more room, the minimum is the minimum, however if you are devoted and have a good upkeep routine laid out in advance it's upto you, just keep up 50% weekly waterchanges throughout follow links on cycling if needed. Defo worth a look even if you think you got it sussed, and keep us informed on how things are
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

I like this.

I like this.

These are the reasons why I wanted a puffer in the first place >_> .

Screw pairs, then.

I think I'll just go with a singleton and a few BBGs :) .

I like it if it means my fish will give me more attention.

I just want to add that you'll have the best success if you add the BBGs and F8 at the same time. Some F8s will eat BBGs but if you add them at the same time when the puffer is young then it's less likely to eat them. I had a F8 and she was an awesome fish, it's a great choice.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I think we had a delay, but I would think that one puffer and 3 bbg would be fine and not effect his personality. But, I am not certain, I've just never heard of the BBG's changing their behavior.

xrayjeeper83, I'm sorry but I just don't agree. For a puffer that is 1 inch, 25 gallons is much more than enough to house more than 1. And I wouldn't buy something that I already have just so that I can have a tank in my room. First, I wanted to get a saltwater tank, which was too small for a single saltwater puffer (toby). The people on these forums recommend figure 8s. Now this is what I get when I want to get figure 8s. What happens next, 25 gallon will suddenly be too small for a dwarf? There's not much smaller for you to tell me to put in my tank as far as puffers.
You misread my first post. I said that if you only had 7in wide spot to put a tank, to get a 5g tank to put there and get a DP for it.

How often does an admin remove censorship?

Hey xray, I feel that I owe you a huge apology. I've been having a bad day, and decided to take it out on you for a mistake I made. I'm glad we got it worked out, and I could see how a 31 by 7 1/2 would be a bit...unstable. LOL!

I'm really glad I joined these forums. I think I'll be here for a while :D .

NO! I like not having censors. Shouldn't it be fine if it's not abused?

Believe me, there are certain vulgar words we'd rather not see on this family-friendly site! We have posters as young as 12 here.
