cichlid tank

thinkin about starting a cichlid tank any advice on what kind i should look to get...i basically want the most brightly colored cichlids i can find

and how many can i house in a tank 40 inches long 24 high and 12 wide

What size tank?

What interests you? Activity? Breeding?

There are many hundreds of Cichlid species around, The choices are huge.

not sure about gallons because it was given to me but its pretty big i would say between 40-50 gallons

i basically wanna do cichlids for color and activity...plus adding a non puffer tank to the collection may be a nice change lol

it was in original post 40 long 24 tall 12 wide
