F8 Puffer Tank requirements

Post by energizerfish »

On another forum I saw someone give the advice that 5 F8's could be housed in a 55 gallon tank together. I know F8's don't grow as large as GSP's but 5 in a 55 gallon seemed like a little too many to many. How many F8's can be housed in a tank that size?

15g for the 1st one & 10g more for every extra.

Ok. Thanks. I was just double checking the advice I had seen elsewhere. So 5 F8 could be in a 55 gallon, although 55 gallons would be the bare minimum for that many. Thanks again

I would put 4 in there with some other fish like BBGs (though they could be eaten) if you wanted the tank to be more full. Personally, I would just do 4 F8s.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
