Good HOB skimmer?

Post by Srkoe »

I'm needing a good, but not too expensive HOB skimmer. Any ideas? It's for a 28 gallon nano cube. Something slender would be nice. I've read good things about the Eshopps 75h and the Reef Octopus HOB. Any thoughts appreciated! :)

I'm happy with my Backpacs.

Awesome reviews on the bak pak. Should I order the pre-skimmer as well? There is limited space in the nano and I'd like to make it simple yet effective as possible.

Looked on eBay. They were all more than DFS, plus shipping.

I have 2 Eshopps PSK75H's, 1 on a 37 and the other on 28 NanoCube. Had issues with micro bubbles in the beginning (that turned out to be my fault) but everything fine now. Premium Aquatics in Indy IN has the cheapest price.

Ended up with an Aquac remora...found it on Craigslist. Had to order a Maxi Jet 1200 for it so hopefully it will fit better. Microbubbles suck! Hopefully it will get a little better when it breaks in.
